Add it: api.slack.com/apps → Your App → OAuth & Permissions → Bot Token Scopes → Add
@mention them in a comment, your bot needs the im:write scope.Add it: api.slack.com/apps → Your App → OAuth & Permissions → Bot Token Scopes → Add
im:write → Reinstall App.
Required Bot Token Scopes:
chat:write
users:read
channels:read
groups:read
channels:join
im:write
- Go to api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → From Scratch
- Go to OAuth & Permissions → add all scopes listed above
- Click Install to Workspace → copy the Bot User OAuth Token
- Paste it above and click Save & Test
- Use the Channel Access list above to join channels with one click
